Volunteering at Pikes lane

At Pikes lane we love to welcome Volunteers who can make a positive contribution to our school. If you are unsure whether volunteering is for you have a look at the testimonials below from some of our wonderful Volunteers.

Mrs Probert has been a part of the Pikes Lane family since 2005. In her time here has worked with all year groups from Nursery to up to Year 5.

Mrs Probert loves spending time with the children and helping them to progress in maths and English. She particularly enjoys reading with the children.

To anyone thinking of volunteering at Pikes Lane, Mrs Probert would recommend that you should have a go as she takes great pleasure in helping the children and she believes that others would too.

Mrs Houghton has been volunteering at Pikes Lane for 9 years. She works on a one to one basis with children from Key Stages 1 and 2.

Mrs Houghton enjoys seeing the children grow up and make good progress as they move up through the school.

Mrs Houghton would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of volunteering at Pikes Lane that they should come into school and try it.

What do our children think of our volunteers...

"I love working with the Volunteers. They really help me."

"The lady really helps me, now I can read fluently."

"The sessions with the Volunteers are fun."
